Samsung have out done themselves this year with their new range of televisions featuring the premium, SUHD Sets among other eye opening curved and 4K Ultra HD televisions. Their smart platform has also had an overhaul and looks much tidier and user friendly. Picture quality including colour, contrast and brightness have been targeted to bring you, the end user the best possible image quality.
Diving into some detail
Lets first talk about Samsung's high-end, SUHD televisions. The highest in the range being the JS9500, this television is available in a whopping 78" -
UE78JS9500 and 65" -
UE65JS9500. The SUHD television sets offer the new Nano Crystal technology from Samsung which are claimed to be able to deliver up to 64 times more co lour expression than conventional televisions. Working in partnership with Nano-Crystal technology is the SUHD re-mastering engine. The re-mastering engine featured in the SUHD television sets analyses the brightness of the incoming image and enables a display which is up to 2.5 times brighter than a conventional television. But remember, the SUHD televisions are still 4K Ultra HD, the resolution is the same, the "S" is to label the models as Samsung's Premium UHD televisions with additional technology to further enhance picture quality.
If you're note yet familiar with 4K Ultra HD, here is a quick explanation. Televisions display pixels, each pixel is able to individually display a colour, the more pixels there are, the more detail is visible and the more realistic an image looks. The most common television at the moment is Full HD measuring 1920 pixels wide by 1080 pixels high. 4K Ultra HD has approximately 4 times as many pixels at 3840 pixels wide and 2160 pixels high. The Full HD resolution is regarded as a 2 mega pixel image (mega meaning million) and the 4K televisions are referred to as an 8 mega pixel image.
Now even smarter with Tizen Smart TV
The new smart platform in the 2015 Samsung televisions incorporates Tizen, an easier to use, faster user interface with new features and capabilities. On the usual Samsung Smart TV platform, you would have different pages of apps and content, Tizen is condensed to only one page, so everything you need is right there in one place. It also takes up less of the screen when in use so you can continue watching your television show while interacting with smart features.
Octa-Core - Ultimate Speed
The higher end 2015 Smart TV's will have an Octa-Core processor at the heart of the technology. Seamless screen transitions and reduced loading times, no one likes loading times... Even when you're multitasking, for example, watching TV while surfing the net about information on what you're watching, the Samsung Octa Core processor keeps everything working smoothly and quickly. An Octa-Core processor can be found in the JS9500 and the J9000 SUHD televisions as below:
